Position overview:
We are looking for our next Logistics Planner to join our East London facility.
Key Responsibilities:
· To place weekly raw material orders on suppliers.
· Track customer variation on orders that could be transmitted to our supplier base.
· Expedite orders using the standard transport mode
· Escalate material or supply problems. Ensure to monitor on-time delivery.
· Ensure that all imports requirements are met (FCL/ LCL requirements – TO’s, forecasts, etc)
· Review and action delivery discrepancies
· Manage Excess & Obsolescence management; Engineering Change management of your parts
· Work with the team on CIP’s
· Cycle count control of parts at risk/ needing review
· Supplier management
Key skills and Qualifications:
· EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
· Tertiary qualification is essential.
· RELATED EXPERIENCE
· Good administrative experience and computer skills is essential. A working knowledge of SAP or a similar system would be advantageous. Supply chain understanding and management. Supplier management.
· SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
· The ideal candidate would display a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. The ability to work independently. Good communicator.
