Summary: Lear Corporation is looking for a dynamic Human Resources Professional to join our expanding team in Flint, Michigan. Ideal candidates will have experience in a Generalist position within a unionized manufacturing setting.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES:  

  • Perform a variety of tasks within the HR Generalist function including employee relations, recruiting, employee engagement, and training & development
  • Provide generalist HR support to all 3 shifts on a regular basis with specific attention to 3rd shift and 1st shift
  • Manage talent acquisition tasks such as sourcing, interviewing, testing and screening candidates for all job openings
  • Manage data analysis of all plant Key Performance Indicators within the HR function and recommend corrective actions to make impactful improvements
  • Perform routine employee data management updates within HRIS
  • Act as sponsor for People Committee within self-directed work team environment to ensure employee empowerment
  • Assist in managing leaves of absence to ensure proper staffing of all teams
  • Update policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements and government reporting regulations
  • Develop and facilitate leadership development trainings for all exempt and non-exempt employees
  • Conduct routine training needs assessments to determine competency gaps and apply development plans
  • Develop and coordinate all employee engagement initiatives to consistently achieve high levels of employee engagement
  • Oversee non-exempt performance management program to ensure retention and recognition of top talent
  • Oversee time & attendance program to ensure effective and efficient utilization of policies and systems
  • Assist employees with various requests including benefit administration, time & attendance, employee relations, coaching, etc.
  • Coach leaders on a regular basis where needed
  • Conduct employee investigations as needed
     
     
    REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources required; Master's preferred
  • 3+ years working in a manufacturing setting as a Human Resources Generalist
  • HR Generalist experience within a 500+ employee manufacturing environment
  • Experience with SuccessFactors and Kronos Workforce Management preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
