About the role:
As a member of the Finance team, you will support Tech Center activities, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and Swedish GAAP. Your key responsibilities include general accounting, reporting actuals, and managing subledgers (GL, AP, AR). You will collaborate with the local Finance team and Lear HQ functions (Tax, Treasury, Controllers). This role reports to the Controller/Finance Manager in Sweden.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead accounting function and prepare accurate monthly actuals, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
• Perform account reconciliations, ensuring high-quality documentation and resolution of open items.
• Manage intercompany transactions, including billing, reconciliation, and confirmations.
• Maintain lease accounting in Lear’s US GAAP tool (Manage Path).
• Support internal/external audits and assist Country Champion.
• Ensure SOX compliance, including control gap assessments and segregation of duties reviews.
• Assist with statutory reporting and communication with Swedish authorities, banks, and auditors.
• Handle treasury tasks, including payments, overdue follow-ups, and cash flow forecasting.
• Manage VAT and tax reporting to Swedish Tax Authority.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting/controlling.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Swedish GAAP.
• Experience with HFM/Hyperion/SAP (preferred).
• Fluent in Swedish and English.
• Team player with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate internationally and handle both routine and ad hoc tasks.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and ownership.
