Position Overview

You will be a member of Finance team that will primarily support for Tech Center activities. Your key responsibility is accounting in US Gaap and Swedish Gaap, including GL, AP and AR subledgers, and reporting of Actuals. You will do so in cooperation with the local Finance team as well as several Lear HQ functions such as Tax, Treasury and Controllers office. You will report to the Controller/Finance Manager in Sweden. The role is based in Gothenburg, Sweden.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actuals – lead accounting function and produce monthly Actuals; Prepare monthly close timely and deliver accurate financial reports including Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
  • Account reconciliations – Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, ensure high quality standard by providing adequate formats, providing relevant support and by addressing any open items;
  • Inter-company – control IC transactions, including billing, monthly reconciliation and confirmation.
  • Leasing Accounting – maintain Manage Path, Lear tool for US GAAP leasing accounting;
  • Audit – support all requests of internal and external audits and Country Champion;
  • SOX – participate in SOX compliance process, including preparation of control gap assessments, cycle process testing, segregation of duties reviews and access reviews;
  • Participate and support in preparing Statutory reports;
  • Communication with Swedish authorities, banks and audit/tax firms;
  • Treasury function such as in – and outgoing payments, follow up on overdues and cash-flow forecasts;
  • VAT and Tax reporting to Swedish Tax authority:

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting
  • Proven work experience in accounting / controlling
  • Solid knowledge of accounting concepts and principles is a must (US GAAP and Swedish GAAP)
  • HFM/Hyperion/SAP experience desirable
  • Swedish speaker, fluent in English
  • Team player
  • Understand and adopts the concept of Continuous Improvement
  • Be able to work with individuals from different parts of the organization, often abroad
  • Demonstrate ability to structure and organize regular tasks agenda while being able to address ad hoc requests
  • Demonstrate ownership and engagement
