Position overview: As Cost & Price Analyst you will be responsible to prepare complete cost calculations and financial information for advanced & awarded programs and engineering design changes for already awarded programs. As a member of the Global TCS Cost Estimating team you will support the global new business opportunities & growth strategy.
Your responsibilities:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
- Create complete cost calculation for all parts of TCS business portfolio
- Support on new business acquisition and growth by providing solid APR.
- Co-work with function team closely includes Sales, Purchasing, AME Operations, Program Management, ER&D, Quality, Plant teams, Logistics to develop the business case for all new business quotes
- Review the overall program costs and ensure it is done properly according to actual or solid estimate through input from purchasing or benchmark data.
- Work with operation team to craft the most cost-effective manufacturing strategy as per multiple factors – process options (manual v automation content), JV relationship, manufacturing footprint, volume, VI (vertical component) content, Modularity, etc.
- Proactively participate in the discussion with commercial team on quoting language to make sure all the key assumptions are properly reflected in the quote letter and company is not exposed to major risks
- Keep close communication with operation and plant finance team to understand the labor and overhead cost structure.
- Work closely with Engineering & Program Management team for program financial and profitability improvement, preparing program financial update, ECN quote/financials to maintain/improve and maximize the OI of each engineering change and level of sales.
- Communicate with sales for pricing strategy and support getting approval of all APR/quotations.
- Support the management decision by providing strategic analysis.
Your Qualifications:
- BS/BA or equivalent experience in Automotive industry is preferred.
- Requires 5+ years finance analysis or relevant experience at a large Multi-National Company.
- Solid experience and knowledge in costing. Program financial focus and experience, sensitive in numbers.
- Excellent German/English verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical mind and interpersonal skills being proactive with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills required to work with cross functional team.
- Ability to adapt and perform in a fast paced, changing environment.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
