Job Description
To prepare cost estimates and financial information for new programs and modifications to existing products to enable Operations and Commercial leadership teams make informed business decisions.
Responsibilities
YOUR TASKS WILL BE
- Produce cost estimates for leather die cut sets, hides in response to RFQ/ECN requests
- Liaise with Sales, Purchasing, Program, Engineering and Plants to fulfill cost requests.
- Prepare estimates, from design detail and manufacturing process plan, for new and existing programs for leather trim components.
- Present cost and financial data for Operations and Commercial decisions.
- Cost analysis /preparation of variance walk and benchmarks.
- Run APR analysis for new programs.
- Run APR what-if scenarios as required on the quote process.
- Participate on cost reduction exercises VA/VE/CTO and conduct product analysis and calculate cost reductions.
- Collaborate and support Costing teams in other regions within the Global Costing Group.
- Collaborate and support Finance on cost estimates for new secondary operations.
- Maintain quote log.
- Prepare the financial information for the Leather PFA/PAR presentation
Skills
Education Requirements
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED
- Industrial Engineer with business and financial understanding, preferred
- Excel – Above avg. skills
- Advanced English Level IS A MUST
- Experience in Automotive industry
