Job Description

 

Coordinate supplier performance improvement plans, raw material flow, and forecasts to maintain inventory value at appropriate levels (without manufacturing disruptions or excess inventory becoming obsolete); coordinate with Advanced Purchasing to ensure proper handoff and clear definition of responsibilities; and coordinate associate evaluations, training, and development.
Comply with safety, environmental, and teamwork standards.

Responsibilities

 

  • Review the daily critical list to prevent disruptions in the production supply chain.
  • Ensure proper scheduling and coordination with the parts supplier.
  • Calculate raw material inventory value projections and control excess inventory levels according to the ABC model.
  • Eliminate excess and obsolete raw material older than 13 weeks.
  • Calculate supplier delivery performance and follow up on QNs with suppliers experiencing shortages and over-shipments.
  • Control expired material.
  • Review safety standards, standard work packages, and planner workload assignments weekly to ensure alignment with the ABC model.
  • Resolve purchase order (P.O.) issues.
  • Conduct a 12-week analysis of problematic components.
  • Analyze incoming premium freight and drive its elimination.
  • Track supplier charges and maintain freight charge records.
  • Analyze supplier relocation activities.
  • Follow up on supplier charges.

Education Requirements

Bachelors degree in logistics, indutrian enginerring or any related field. 

Experience Requirements

Experienced in Materials Procurement and Materials Control, with more than 3 years of experience in the automotive industry
