Our Customs coordinator will be the local point of contact for Meknes plant in relation to all customs Import and export matters and customs audits, liaising with internal and external functions as necessary (broker, freight forwards, corresponding ministries..) maintaining 100% compliance with Moroccan Rules.

 

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES :

-Be the central point of contact for the plant in relation to all Customs Import & Export matters and Customs audits, liaising with all internal functions, brokers and freight forwarders as necessary ministries 
-To ensure the company is protected through continuing compliance with customs and trade regulations and will take appropriate action if infringements are identified
-To carry out training and guidance to company employees involved in customs activities in Morocco and become the resident expert on import/export customs processes and regulations
- To improve and manage the information flow between the parties to ensure the smooth and timely completion of tasks and responsibilities of each stake holder in the process
-To review and advise upon the customs balance performance in Meknes plant to ensure the company remains compliant and within the required operating parameters
- Documentation control of inbound and outbound operations, Scrap export, Equipment transfers... 
-To review and manage the Temporary Admission accounts and to advise records by monthly basis 
-Monitor the Customs duty / VAT deferment statements to ensure that duties and taxes recovery process is maintained
-To review and advise upon the preferential goods certificates that are issued by the company to ensure we remain compliant with the rules of the applicable trade agreements with Morocco
-To review and advise upon the possibilities and advantages that can support the company to get more customs facilities
-Define and follow the customs Key Performance indicators

 

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

•    Minimum 2 years within a customs environment, ideally as an employee of the customs authority, a customs agency or as a customs consultant.
•    Bachelor's/Master's degree in International Business, Logistics or Operational Management or related field or - extensive experience in International Trade and Customs or Customs consulting
•    Ability to demonstrate Logical, Structured, Proactive and Objective approach.
•    Ability to demonstrate strong literacy and communication skills(Fluent in French and English)
•    Knowledge of European import/export regimes would be beneficial
