With significant exposure to US and international tax matters, the Tax Analyst will assist with wide scope of tax matters in Philippines, comprising both direct and indirect tax compliance, transfer pricing and tax accounting/ reporting.

Main responsibilities
Tax Compliance
- Providing assistance in overall tax compliance process (both direct and indirect tax), by gathering, processing and reviewing data necessary for tax computation and tax return preparation (and other tax related filings)
- Work with external service providers and finance teams to ensure timely submission of tax returns and tax payments and compliance with statutory deadlines
- Continuously improving procedures and processes in order to further improve corporate governance and ensure compliance with the prevailing tax legislations
- Support tax audits, responses to tax notices and timely resolution of other tax controversy matters with tax authorities
Transfer Pricing
- Managing the transfer pricing arrangements and its documentation and support in preparation of country-by-country reporting compliance process
Tax accounting
- Supporting monthly closing activities, including accruals for various tax expenses, government remittances and tax accounts reconciliation and monitoring
- Supporting tax reporting under US GAAP, including annual provision, return-to-provision, and deferred tax provision calculation
- Support review of tax disclosures in statutory audit financial statements for Philippines
- Managing PEZA and tax incentive reports preparation and timely submission
Tax incentive reporting and management
- Support PEZA certificates renewal and application
- Assist with tracking of various incentive criteria and financials, including liaison with finance and stakeholders to ensure full visibility of activity progress and compliance with statutory requirements
Tax advisory support
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments that may impact our business operations in Philippines
- Research and provide insights on interpretations of the applicable tax law.
- Supporting business and other functions in various transactions (practical implementation) and identify risk areas.
Key Competencies
- Education- Bachelor of Science- Accountancy. Must be a Certified Public Accountant.
- Experience- At least 2-3 years working experience with major accounting firm in Tax function (corporate income tax preferred).
Personal Competencies
- Excellent understanding of Philippines corporate income tax [KM1] matters
- Knowledge of PEZA incentive regime and its compliance reporting requirements
- Comfortable in accessing BIR websites especially eFPS
- Up-to-date in government regulations (BIR, PEZA, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated and results-oriented
- Proactive attitude and hands-on mentality
- Possesses human relations (interpersonal) and team player skills
- Proficient in both oral and written communication
