Site Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Site Manager to join our Operations Leadership Team in Mangualde, Portugal. Reporting directly into the Plant Manager of our Vigo JIT Facility, the Site Manager is responsible for driving all launch readiness activities and internal KPI's within the Plant. Overseeing a facility of approximately 100 employees, the new Site Manager will be tasked with achieving all operational objectives relating to Delivery, Efficiency, Quality and EHS requirements. Moreover, this leader should create a winning team through key hiring, coaching, mentoring and driving continuous improvement initiatives as well as providing accurate and timely communication to the customer.

As Plant Manager, your responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to)

Responsibility for controlling CAPEX Spend
Building and motivating a team of 1st line team within Production, Maintenance, Industrial Engineering and Logistics.
Overseeing the implementation and results of actions from day shift to achieve the Plant cost reduction targets.
Drive the use of Lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and cycle times within the Plant.
Ensure customer satisfaction and service according to corporate principles.
Ensuring the plant is a safe and healthy place for all associates

To Be a Success in this position candidates should have the following skill sets and credentials:

Strong drive, determination and management skills to lead from the front and get the best out of your team.
Management experience working within an automotive T1 production environment
Operational experience of dealing with automotive interior parts and/or JIT/JIS production would be advantageous.
Background experience in having held a management role within Operations or Logistics functions
Strong communication skills with proven ability of working proactively with teams
Analytical and Problem-solving skills to provide systematic solutions to issues that arise.
Fluency in English Language is mandatory plus one of either Spanish or Portuguese
University Degree is a requirement within an engineering / technical discipline is preferred
