Position focus:

  • Directs and has overall oversight responsibility for plant continuous improvement efforts, including but not limited to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Cost Reduction.
  • Leads the plant's cost reduction and profit improvement efforts and implements plans to achieve these goals.
  • Achieve best-in-class operational performance in terms of efficiency, startup performance and employee engagement.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement at all levels.


Responsibilities:

  • Achieve the overall planned performance of the plant
  • Drive, achieve, support and foster a culture of continuous improvement through Kaizens
  • Engage all levels of the plant in raising the bar for operational excellence
  • Achieve continuous KPI improvement
  • Maintain and update plant best practices
  • Support kaizen improvements in safety, ergonomics and environment
  • Support/mentor/coach the use, application and understanding of LSS tools at various levels within the plant
  • Promote synergies between the plant and Lear Europe. Support of the central team in specific projects
  • Promote Lean Six Sigma thinking in the organization
  • Identify players who want to be part of the CI community
  • Responsible for implementing company policies and procedures within functional area of expertise


Requirements:

  • BA/BS or equivalent degree
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Lean Green Belt minimum certification, valuable black belt.
  • Ability to work in a highly productive, constantly changing environment
  • Team work ability
