Job Description

 

Methods Engineer based in Torreón, Your mission will be coordinates and executes engineering activities to generate the technical information at the plant level, ensuring that work methods, equipment, and tooling are ready for flawless execution in terms of quality, delivery, and cost throughout the planning, launch, and engineering change phases

Responsibilities

 

  • Executes and coordinates activities based on the plan developed by the Project Leader (Car Leader) to achieve the program objectives in each build phase.
  • Analyzes engineering change proposals and based on these, notifies the impact on equipment and tooling to the Project Leader (Car Leader) and Product Engineering.
  • Develops appropriate methods, work instructions, and visual aids for the manufacturing method to ensure the quality, output, and efficiency of the production system
  • Is responsible for the design of the manufacturing system, ensuring quality, output, and efficiency for each harness family within the assigned program.

  • Ensures that the necessary machinery and equipment are delivered and installed to meet the required process capacity, in accordance with the processes and the design of the manufacturing system.
  • Uploads technical information into the manufacturing systems such as MfgPro/QAD, UCS, LMI, etc.

Executes all activities related to the launch of new programs and the implementation of engineering changes.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or any related area.  

Experience Requirements

  • 2+ Years of experience in automotive process
  • Must have knowledge in wire harness process.  
  • Knowledge in PFMA process.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office.  
  • Problem solving and excellent communications skills.

Languages

  • Intermediate English level.
