Position Overview:

 
The Industrial Section Leader is responsible for driving industrial engineering excellence within the plant by leading process optimization, fostering a continuous improvement culture, and supporting operational performance. Reporting directly to the IE Manager, this role oversees the development, implementation, and improvement of manufacturing processes to ensure productivity, quality, and cost‑effectiveness. The IE Section Leader partners closely with cross‑functional teams to deploy automation, digitalization, and Industry 4.0 initiatives while ensuring compliance with automotive standards and safety requirements.

 

Main Missions :

 

  • Lead and promote a culture of continuous improvement, problem solving, and operational excellence.
  • Analyze and optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve cycle time, reduce scrap, and increase throughput.
  • Drive and implement automation and digital transformation initiatives (Industry 4.0).
  • Ensure adherence to automotive quality and process standards, including IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
  • Maintain, update, and ensure accuracy of process documentation and work instructions.
  • Identify, evaluate, and execute cost‑reduction initiatives while preserving product quality and employee safety.
  • Support production teams with data‑driven solutions and ensure best‑practice methods in industrial engineering.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to the IE team.

 

To be successful for this role :

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Technical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong expertise in process optimization, lean methodologies, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Solid knowledge of automotive standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
  • Experience with automation, digitalization, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.Excellent leadership, communication, and team‑development capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and drive results in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

 

Language Skills:

 

  • Good communication skills in both French and English
