Position overview: Leading Engineer and key point of contact with Customer for majority of quality related topics, resolving quality claims and ensuring implementation and tracking of all preventive and corrective actions to ensure meeting quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Being key point of contact between Customer and plant related to quality topics
  • Responsible for internal and Customer claims for his/her area of responsibility together with other Quality Engineers and cross-functional team and managing 8D report
  • Organization and control of implementation of all corrective and preventive measures defined in 8D report as well as their validation and verification in production process
  • Organization and coordination of all sorting activities in the plant and at Customer's site and tracking their costs
  • Regular communication with Customer representatives and Resident Engineers
  • Performing role of internal expert for all specific customer requirements related to product and process
  • Participating in validation of production lines
  • Updating data on Customer portal and Lear internal data system (LQTS)
  • Coordinating and actively participating in audits/visits performed by Customer related to quality topics and responsible for implementation and tracking all defined measures
  • Actively participating in all activities related to PFMEA and Control plan together with cross-functional team
  • Responsible for PPM improvement projects
  • Support in organizing activities for quality technicians and line inspectors
  • Analyzing and resolving warranty claims
  • Training of new Quality Engineers
  • Active participation in other quality related projects

 

Key skills and Qualifications:

  • University degree preferably in technical area
  • Minimum 2 years of experience on similar job in automotive industry
  • Advanced knowledge of 8D methodology and Problem Solving Tools
  • Excellent knowledge of quality tools (APQP. FMEA, MSA, PPAP, SPC)
  • Good knowledge of IATF 16949 standard
  • Good understanding of technical drawings
  • Strong communication skills and proactivity
  • Advanced English
  • Good practical knowledge of MS office
