Product Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Creation of assembly drawings, detail part drawing, 3D models and bills of material
• Oversee and validate the product design
• Responsible for the right development of product design according with project requirements
• Define the validation plan, follow-up test results and evaluate if the product is conform or not with the specifications
• Take an active role in technical meetings
• Technical support to Sales and new project offer phases, with technical presentations
• May manage on or several projects
• Manage the functional analysis and product failure mode analysis (FMEA)
• Ensures the application of standards
• Formalizes the design requirements and manage program documentation.
• Contributes to maintain and develop the knowledge and expertise within the assigned area of responsibility

Requirements:

• Engineering degree with specialization in mechanical or industrial engineering
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in product units or similar positions in the automotive sector
• Experience in automotive quality process with various customers
• Mechanical product development (additional skills, experience in rolling, steel pressing and aluminum extrusion)
• Fluency in English (French language would be an advantage)
• Advanced use of CAD tools: CATIA V5
