We are hiring CAD Designers who will be not only drawing but will also be finding new ways and opportunities in product development design. Our colleagues on this position are able to independently lead entrusted projects from design point of view, are directly in touch with our customers and are able to present their work results. They are reporting directly to the Business Unit Engineering CAD Manager and working within the engineering project team. They have a key focus to coordinate and develop new product design activities to customer requirements whilst working closely with the sales and quality departments. Being part of one of the biggest development technical centers in Europe, you will have a role in new development projects for premium OEM customers with full range of engineering activities – all in house, complete seat engineering, prototyping, testing etc.


What would you need to be successful on this position:

  • Min. 3 years of experience in the area of product development. Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of Design For Manufacturing (DFM) and Design For Assembly (DFA) principles.
  • Good understanding of basic mechanical principles and physics.
  • Outstanding knowledge in CATIAv5 and/or NX.
  • Knowledge of Teamcenter or similar Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
  • Good level of English (B1 or higher) written and spoken. German is an advantage.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.


What we expect you to do:

  • Develop seating components based on customer specifications and Lear internal guidelines.
  • Conduct studies and analyses for integrating components and assemblies into the seat system.
  • Create component and assembly drawings.
  • Manage product changes in the PLM system.
