Following its establishment in 2012, Plzeň has grown into our fastest-growing Engineering Development Center in Europe. The center focuses on the design and development of Lear products, including complex seating mechanisms and structures, foams, coatings, plastics, and trim components. The vision for Plzen is not to work as an internal supplier for our European business units but to develop into a leading Design and Development Center working on projects for all major European OEM customer groups from concept phase through to delivery.
You support the full lifecycle of automotive product data by managing engineering documentation, change processes, and release packages within PLM systems. You work in Lear’s fast‑growing Engineering Development Center in Pilsen, collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver compliant, high‑quality solutions for European OEM customers.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams on technical documentation, drawings, and product specifications
- Create, maintain, and modify Bill of Materials (BOM) in alignment with engineering requirements
- Analyze engineering changes and assess their impact on products, ERP systems, and related documentation
- Support the Engineering Change Management process, including change requests, approvals, documentation, and coordination with internal teams and suppliers
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of product data across PLM and ERP systems
- Provide support to the Engineering department in managing and optimizing plant systems and related tools
Experience Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in engineering documentation, PLM, or change management in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
- Hands‑on experience with automotive systems and tools such as SAP, PLM platforms, QID, or XPPS.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel for tracking, analysis, and reporting.
- Professional proficiency in English; German language skills are an advantage.
- Experience working in a cross‑functional or matrix organization.
