Job Title: Shipping Operator (2nd Shift)
SUMMARY
Ensure accountability, transparency, and effective communication cross-functionally and within his/her team while ensuring information is timely, clear and accurate. He/she will foster a team ownership culture that ensures compliance with all Corporate and Local policies, procedures and regulations. He/she must supply the highest level of both internal and external customer service within the workplace.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Maintain output and ensure quality while pulling and loading customer orders.
- Unload inbound shipments and transport to appropriate storage areas.
- Track work and adjust to meet changing requirements.
- Make sure what is needed for shipment each day is pulled and ready for shipment in advance.
- Maintain housekeeping, productivity, quality, and ensure safety.
- Foster an environment focused on Continuous Improvement.
- Establish workflow between associates, to optimize efficiency & productivity.
- Team based department.
- Performs additional duties as requested, needed, or assigned.
ABILITY TO
- Communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers, Supervisors and Managements.
- Work independently with little or no supervision and be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a team player.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram record data or schedule form.
- Physically able to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment – manual dexterity, visual acuity, and speed.
- Displays ability to work in highly productive, constantly changing environment.
- Lifting and moving of rolls is necessary.
- Forklift and Standing lift operating is required.
- Properly load and secure freight for transport to our customers.
- Solid leadership skills; able to lead by example and effective communicating.
- Exceptional work performance and attendance record is a must.
- Effectively execute tasks.
- Ability to multi-task and quickly adapt to a changing environment.
- Keep work area clean and tidy.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months to one-year position-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skilled knowledge or direct experience in Material Handling and/or Shipping processes is a plus.
