POSITION OBJECTIVE
To support the company’s vision by delivering comprehensive technical support for all connectivity-related aspects of Lear’s standard IT systems—including, but not limited to, LAN/WAN infrastructure, telephony, Windows servers, storage and backup solutions, and various Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
This role involves close collaboration and support to the other local IT personnel across Thailand manufacturing sites to ensure smooth operations and alignment with global IT standards. Travel between the plants might be required to provide hands-on support, strengthen communication, and proactively address technical challenges.
Through effective coordination and timely issue resolution, the position plays a key role in maintaining business continuity and enhancing the overall reliability and performance of IT infrastructure across the Thailand region.
The Role
Key responsibilities include the following:
1. Ensures compliance to the IT KPI (Key Points Indicators), and NSO (Network Security Operations) Scorecard.
2. Compliance to Lear ISMS (Information Security Management System), Risk Assessments and SOX audit is a must. Directly responsible for the implementation of the company’s security policies and procedures in his area of responsibility, mainly the 3 Thailand plants.
3. Ensures that all LAN (Local Area Network) / WAN components, PABX System, Servers, Storage, and backup are running at optimum performance and within Lear standards. Installs/configures, manages, and troubleshoots IT System and all network active components that include routers, switches, servers, storage and similar devices and peripherals. Implement and test backup system to ensure data availability in worst case scenario.
4. Provides user support for, but not limited to, desktops, laptops, and printers. Monitoring and managing IVANTI tickets. Periodically consults customers for feedback. Provide action plans and corrective measures where necessary. Provide operational support in the implementation of new application software and projects.
5. Maintains and monitors network traffic, performance and ensure optimal throughputs.
6. Installs and repairs structured cabling that includes but not limited to horizontal and vertical cabling, from distribution frames to the I/O ports.
7. Keeps the inventory of assigned equipment/software current and up to date. Keeps performance history and logs of all assigned equipment.
8. Communicates all concerns to the Lead Engineer / I.T. Manager and to his IT peers, as necessary.
9. Supports initiatives from the business team, regional and\or global IT activities and coordinate and communicate efforts to IT peers and stakeholders.
10. Submits a periodic statistics report relating to network resources, task completion statistics, and other reports as required by the Management.
11. Supports the implementation and maintenance of quality management system and ensures customer satisfaction and continual improvement through active participation in Quality System (QS) activities such as Six Sigma, 5S, EH&S etc.
12. Plan, evaluate and recommend improvements, new technologies, architecture that will enhance the flow of information and data availability.
Qualifications
Education
· Must have B.S. Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering or Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Information Technology or any IT related course.
Experience
· Must at least have a three-year experience with network systems management particularly in a CISCO network environment.
· Having at least 1 year experience in the Administration of PABX System is an advantage but not a must.
· Must have 5 years of hands-on experience in the installation, configuration, and administration of Windows based servers and operating system.
· The experience should be in a company with at least 100 users and preferably in manufacturing with heterogeneous computing environment.
Personal Competencies
· Proficient in English. Must be good in oral and written communication. Team player and customer \ user oriented. Good working attitude. A person who can build good relationship at all levels.
Skills/ Knowledge
· Project Management skill or experience is a big advantage.
· Maintain and manage network infrastructures, telecommunications equipment, and MS Windows based server and desktop OS, and proficient in Microsoft business application suites (MS Office365, Teams and others).
· Awareness of Cybersecurity, Backup and Disaster Recovery for Business Continuity is an advantage.
· Administration of PABX System; Familiar with Video Conferencing Equipment is an advantage; Above average problem-solving and analytical skills. Preferred: Senior System Administrator
Others
· Must be willing to work unconventional hours when the situation dictates.
· Additional knowledge or hands on experience with Dell servers, storage and backup devices is a big advantage.
