PLYMOUTH INDIANA – PLYMOUTH WAREHOUSE

 

As a member of the quality team, the Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting material, packaging, and labels to verify accuracy of counts and other information before material ships out of the facility. Inspections are also completed on material after repackaging processes. Quality Inspectors are key contributors to ensure accuracy of repackaged material and managing Hold and Reject status material.

 

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Inspect and place parts on hold and release as necessary according to established procedures
  • Walking with a cart to carry work equipment
  • Writing, Basic Math & calculating material and packaging quantities
  • Daily audit of master labels
  • Participate in 8D meetings as a team member
  • Complete and confirm daily tasks ensuring procedures and work instructions are followed
  • Provide daily support and assistance to shift supervisor on various tasks to meet customer shipments/requirements
  • Support the EH&S policies, procedures and rules, including helping to meet EH&S goals and objectives and 5S initiatives. Understand and adhere to the Quality Policy
  • Reading quantities on labels and confirming correct labels on palletized material to verify a passing or failed inspection
  • Use Microsoft Outlook Email: send, receive, and view email communications pertaining to material needing to be placed on hold, work order (hold status notifications), and other information as needed
  • Use Site QAD: Scanner functions, placing material on and off Hold status per Work Order instructions, searching inventory to locate place specific material on Hold, or Reject status
  • Checking quantities on master labels attached to outbound palletized material to confirm correct quantities are pulled and staged for pickup
  • Check labels on repackaged material to confirm correct information on label and verify the material is not supposed to be on Hold or Reject Status
  • Assist in the Mezzqc process
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Your Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Ability to navigate basic computer functions
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office applications (Basic Applications: Outlook Email, Teams, Word, and Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in calculating basic math
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs. (Infrequently)
  • Punctual (Attendance is critical to on-time shipping)
