Responsibilities:

  • Supervise/coordinate the activities related to the management of the plant's Prevention and Protection Service
  • Collaborate in defining instructions and operating methods that guarantee the health and safety of all workers and visitors in the relevant plant
  • Collaborate, to the extent applicable, in maintaining the ISO 45001 certified safety management system compliance with the provisions of Legislative Decree 81/2008 
  • Provide for the identification of risk factors, risk assessment and identification of measures for the safety and healthiness of working environments, in compliance with current legislation and based on the guidelines defined by E, H&S, Technical & Legal Facilities Country Mgr
  • Carry out the ergonomic risk assessment of the workstations with the support of E, H&S, Technical & Legal Facilities Country Mgr. also based on the information on cycle times provided by the Manufacturing Engineering
  • Develop prevention and protection measures based on the results of the risk assessment and the control systems for these measures
  • Develop, in collaboration with the E, H&S, Technical & Legal Facilities Country Mgr., the safety instructions for the various company activities
  • Propose information and training programs for workers about health and safety at work and, in some cases, directly carry out training/information to workers also in accordance with the provisions of the Pillar Safety and with reference to the training cards for training in the workplace as required by the training on the job system. In accordance with the provisions of the Health and Safety Management System procedures prepared by the certified Management System, to the extent relevant, in maintaining the ISO 45001 certified safety management system identify and find safety regulations at a local level, taking action to carry out or verify that the required obligations are carried out.
  • Support Plant Management in defining objectives and improvement programs regarding health and safety
  • Draw up the plant emergency plan, collaborate with the environmental manager in identifying emergency scenarios, planning them, and compiling scenario sheets; Organize/participate in emergency simulation tests
  • Collaborate with Production, Technical Services/Maintenance, HR, HQ Environment and Safety Department and with other subjects possibly involved in the analysis of causes, definition of action plans and extension plans following accident events, first aid, near-injury, potentially dangerous incorrect behavior
  • When requesting professional illnesses involving plant personnel, with the support of the E, H&S, Tech and Legal Facilities Country Manager, the Competent Doctor, and the Human Resources Department, collect, formalize, and send the requested information to the Public Body.
  • Participate in the process FMEA of your plant by providing the necessary information to reduce potential critical issues related to process safety issues
  • Draw up the Health and Safety Reporting and respond to corporate requests within the established timescales
  • Propose and activate plans and specific actions to improve safety within the Plant (Heinrich's pyramid and stratification of events, S-matrix, ABC classification of critical issues, experiments in pilot areas, etc.)

 

Requirements:

  • University graduate with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  •  Minimum of 2 years of experience in the role.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good to have: experience working in an automotive or manufacturing plant
  • Excellent communication skills and business acumen
  • Ability to work closely and build partnerships with other departments and functions
  • High reliability and work ethic
  • Ability to work under time pressure and deadlines
  • Computer literacy with advanced knowledge of MS Excel
