Purpose of the position:


  • Have a trained and motivated production staff with whom you have built a relationship of respect and trust.
  • Ensure the implementation of the production program, monitoring goals and reference standards (safety, health and environment, efficiency, cadence, quality, etc.), coordination of assigned activities and interaction with the production manager and other relevant personalities (quality, T&M, RSPP, Maintenance, Logistics) in accordance with company plans and procedures
  • Prepare the production plan and ensures its development by coordinating the relevant leadership teams. He plans and coordinates the weekly activities of the areas under his responsibility, balances resources between production areas in agreement with fellow supervisors and the production manager.
  • Monitor achievement of efficiency and productivity goals shared with shift supervisor




  • Support the team leader in problem solving and ensures that they have all the resources to achieve the production plan. Shares and implements decisions that result from shifts according to guidelines expressed on shift bulletin boards.
  • Interface with the quality customer engineer so that process issues that have not been resolved between the team leader and the process auditor are resolved or coordinated. Ensures that instructions coming from the customer are addressed accordingly and appropriate measures are put in place.
  • Coordinate weekly planning with production planner, taking into account add-ons. Interface with planners in case of material issues.
  • Evaluate the daily performance of efficiency, absenteeism, quality kpi of the production departments and coordinates with the production manager any other actions.
  • Coordinate with other supervisors and production managers to prioritize maintenance intervention requests.
  • Compile and manage production trend files such as POs, extra files and PDAs
  • Coordinate with Launch Manager, Prototyping and PE phases.
  • Manage the assigned area by coordinating the activities of the respective team leaders and liaising with other leaders in accordance with the instructions of the Production Manager.
  • Interface with the production manager to know what stage the production is at and outlines any changes that need to be made to the process.
  • Provide holidays and vacations to ensure proper balance of resources and guarantee expected production.
  • Responsible for training shift supervisors and area operators on 5S procedures, self maintenance and company code of ethics.
  • Ensure production workers apply and adhere to internal regulations, company environmental and safety rules and procedures, injury prevention regulations related to the role and ensures shift supervisors enforce this monitoring role (in his absence).
