Short overview
Responsibilities
- Lead supplier APQP activities to ensure successful new product launches and readiness before start of production.
- Coordinate supplier PPAP approvals, process qualification activities, and product and design verification requirements.
- Review and validate PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and GD&T documentation to ensure robust manufacturing controls.
- Conduct supplier readiness assessments, audits, gateway reviews, and run-at-rate evaluations to verify production capability.
- Manage supplier quality performance through scorecard reviews, audits, and ongoing quality monitoring.
- Drive issue escalation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation to resolve supplier quality concerns.
- Develop and execute supplier improvement and recovery plans to improve performance and return underperforming suppliers to target levels.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across seating manufacturing processes, including JIT, Trim, Structures, and TCS operations.
Experience Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related automotive manufacturing role.
- Strong experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and supplier quality management processes.
- Knowledge of automotive quality standards, supplier audits, process qualification, and corrective action methodologies.
- Experience working with seating manufacturing processes, including JIT, Trim, Structures, or TCS environments will be big advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or equivalent experience.
