We are in position to offer a great job opportunity to work as Purchasing Supervisor, based in Centrals Honduras, Quimistan Santa Barbara (E-Systems Division).
As Purchasing Supervisor, you will be responsible for the drive operational excellence in non-production and logistics purchasing, provide strong local purchasing support for Honduras operations, and strengthen supplier, stakeholder, and team collaboration.
Your Task will be
- Support the Strategic Purchasing team in achieving catalog concentration targets through catalog setup, guided buying tools, and stakeholder coordination
- Monitor open requisitions, purchase orders, and Power BI (PBI) reports to ensure timely execution and issue resolution.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new local suppliers in Honduras in compliance with Lear policies and procedures.
- Support supplier development activities, including participation in supplier visits, performance reviews, and physical audits.
- Ensure proper custody, archiving, and administration of original supplier contracts requiring physical signatures.
- Coordinate and ensure timely completion of the Honduras exoneration process, collaborating with all relevant departments to maintain compliance and efficiency.
- Support logistics purchasing strategies, including supplier negotiations, cost reduction initiatives, contract management, and savings documentation.
- Assist in the development and execution of logistics commodity strategies focused on consolidation, standardization, catalog concentration, and operational alignment.
- Conduct regular meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders, including quarterly business reviews, to ensure alignment, communication, and relationship management.
- Guide and support the local purchasing team on administrative and operational activities, promoting teamwork, accountability, and alignment with global purchasing standards.
- Ensure adherence on procedures, policies, regulations, best practices and continuous improvement
- Investigate AI Technology to support innovation and efficiency.
be successful in this role you will need:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, business, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience as Purchasing Coordinator or relative position.
- Knowledge: Coupa, Negotiation techniques, supplier management, waivers, strategy development, customer service
- Proven leadership experience both as the manager of a department and as a member of the site management team.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Proficient English.
- You should have great analytical skills, to be creative/ innovative, to have initiative, to be persistent and open to criticism and others' ideas.
