Job Description

You will be in charge of all topics related to Health, Safety and Environment for the Plant. Your mission will be to Continue to evolve Lear’s culture and leadership in safety and environmental management to serve Lear and its people.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a coordinator and reporting directly to the plant manager
• Definition of the context of the organization.
• Definition of the interested parties, external and internal issues, and risk analysis.
• Definition and implementation of the Plant HS&E System, as well as updating it according to the Focus: HS&E Manual and Procedures.
• Bring the HS&E expertise to the company, providing training programs and consulting with all company departments on health environmentally friendly and safe work practices.
• Establishing in cooperation with management short and long-term company HS&E goals and objectives and giving assistance to implement HS&E policies.
• Direct responsibility for HS&E audit of each department in the plant utilizing management supervisory personnel.
• Definition, planning and implementing advanced HS&E procedures for new projects.
• Giving advice on safe equipment design, ensuring compliance with government, LEAR HS&E codes and standards.
• Acting as the company’s expert, spokesperson, and primary consultant on all HS&E matters.
• Frequent contact with the plant manager, managers, engineers, department heads, supervisors, employees, and the local HS&E committee and externally with government agencies, occupational HS&E representatives, colleagues other LEAR Europe companies, National HS&E council personnel etc.Ensure the conformance of products and processes according IATF, Customer specific requirements, and regulatory requirements.

Experience Requirements

• Technical and/or engineering degree with 5+ years’ experience
• Must be familiar with parallel industry HS&E standards.
• Must be able to negotiate with and is knowledgeable in national HS&E regulations.
• Must work with the philosophy that “ALL Injuries, occupational illness, HS&E damage is preventable”
• Able to communicate well (French, English and local language) with all levels in the plant and towards the external people mentioned above.
