A unique opportunity has opened in our Seating R&D Center in Rabat as Engineering Manager.

The seating R&D center is growing & looking for it’s Engineering Manager, reporting directly to the Center Director. I f you enjoy driving growth in a very challenging environment, this opportunity is for you!

As Engineering Manager , you will be in charge of Growing and coaching a  team capable to design robust products on time and within budget whilst also being responsible for delivering a seating project on time and within budget.

 

Additional duties will include (but may not be limited to)

  • Ensuring own assigned seating program meets - Design for assembly and Design for Manufacture targets of Lear. CAD quality standards of Lear. GD&T and drawing standards of Lear,
  • Managing Design Review process of whole team
  • Maintaining diversity by fast tracking high potential Female
  • Developing plans for own team.
  • Learning Lear internal processes and ensure own skills matrix and training plan is fulfilled.
  • Participating in and lead interviews for new hires. Ensure team grows with correct balance of new talent and experience,
  • Owning team hours booked in DRTs on time and resources accurately reflect HC and demand, initiate resource discussions for idle time with BU leaders for own team,.
  • Planning Weekly reviews to ensure compliance by all engineers.
  • Maintaining team training plans and report out any issues.
  • Ensuring own project meets Lear LPMP deliverables on time.

 

To be a success in this role you must have

  • Excellent organizational skills – a proven record in being able to plan and track project activities.
  • Automotive experience is needed , ideally in seating
  • At least 5 years proven experience in a similar position
  • Leadership & team management skills: Experience leading and driving a team (direct reports and cross functional) 
  • High project management skills
  • Autonomous & self-starter
  • Fluency in English
