Commodity Buyer – SEATING (TCS DIVISION) JUAREZ, MX LOCATION The role of Commodity Buyer is to be purchasing responsible to define the strategy per Commodity in accordance with Thermal Comfort Systems business needs.
Reports to the Commodity Manager (BU, Regional) The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
• Defines and implements the strategy per Commodity in accordance with TCS business needs.
• Negotiate and finalize Lear core agreements with all strategic and important suppliers per commodity.
• Agrees and signs LTA’s with all assigned strategic and/or important suppliers to support the long-term relationships and to fill the P-Saves pipeline.
• Identifies new strategic suppliers and qualifies them in cooperation with SQD.
• Supplier relationship management cultivate strong relationships with regional and global suppliers to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvement.
• Regularly evaluate supplier performance, address issues (together with SQD and identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
• Initiate and perform benchmark as well as insource/outsource analysis when applicable.
• Develop and execute cost reduction ideas in cooperation with assigned suppliers.
• Develops supplier localization plans to optimize the supply footprint to support cost and NWC together with SQD.
• Supports VA/VE workshops and negotiation events.

• Strong written communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• SAP experience a plus
Your Qualifications:
• 5-7 years purchasing experience and advanced English
• Automotive cross functional experience
