Position overview:
An exciting new position has opened up in our Loire Plant as EHS Manager, reporting directly to the Plant Manager & EHS Manager Europe and Africa.
As EHS Manager, you will work closely with and support the Plant Manager to provide an efficient and effective health, safety and environmental support service to the Loire Site in order to ensure the Plant meets its Business Objectives, continually promote a positive Health and Safety culture whilst complying with all applicable legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and sustain a strong health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture across the site
- Advise and support management and employees on HSE compliance and best practices
- Drive achievement of HSE targets, including zero lost time accidents
- Manage HSE reporting, investigations (accidents & near misses), and corrective actions
- Ensure risk assessments, safe systems of work, and DSE assessments are in place
- Maintain and support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance, including internal audits
- Lead safety inspections, audits, and improvement plans across the plant
- Manage contractor and visitor safety, permits to work, and statutory inspections
- Deliver HSE training, safety campaigns, and employee engagement activities
- Ensure compliance with machinery safety, CE marking, LOTO, and Lear HSE directives
Key skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar position as Manager
- Time management skills
- Experience of delivering training sessions to groups and individuals
- Strong IT skills including word and excel
- Health and Safety qualification (NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent)
- ISO14001 Auditor Certification (internal)
- ISO 45001 Auditor Certification (internal)
- Higher level Health and Safety qualification (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent)
- Environmental qualification such as IEMA Management Certificate.
- Proficiency in both English & French languages, spoken and written
