Position overview:

 

Reporting directly to the HSE Manager leader, our future HSE Specialist will have as main missions to supporting the HSE manager in the planning, development and implementation of preventive activity in the plant.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Management of operational HSE events in the workshop in collaboration with the nurse and the main departments (production, logistic, maintenance…): analysis, definition of preventive measures and follow-up.
  • Support in conducting risk assessments in the plant: together with the EHS Manager, providing the necessary documentation/information to complete risk assessments, safety data sheets and trainings associated.
  • Improvement of communication to the team leaders and workers: development of awareness displays or campaigns, support in dissemination.
  • Verification of workers’ basic information in occupational health and safety and in environment.
  • Preventive activity planning: administrative work developing and maintaining the corresponding documents, especially regarding regulatory controls.
  • Coordination of business activities with contracted and subcontracted companies: completion of prevention plan, inspection in the workshop.
  • Support and implementation of LEAR HSE Directives.
  • Ergonomic assessments: support in the implementation of LEAR’s ergonomic assessment tool and CARSAT tool.
  • Management of personal protective equipment (PPE): orders, storage, stock control, creation of a catalogue for employee information, etc.
  • Definition and follow-up of corrective actions: in the assigned action plans, working with the designated departments to speed up the closure of actions.
  • Chemical products: completing plant inventory, cataloguing, updating safety data sheets, storage and minimum/maximum quantities.
  • Environmental management: follow-up of waste removal, weight control, storage review, etc.
  • Execution of internal HSE preventive inspections and audits: definition of operating instructions and control checklists, for example, use of blowtorches, forklift and stacker maintenance, etc.

Key skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Technical EHS degree.
  • Knowledge of Industrial activities milestones, preferably in the automotive sector.
  • First exp as an EHS Specialist is a plus
  • Proficiency in both English & French languages, spoken and written
