Job Description
Responsibilities
- Supplier Risk Assessment and Due Diligence — Conduct structured risk assessments for each Tier 2 supplier, evaluating installed capacity versus demand, financial health, sub-supplier dependency, logistics performance history, labor and energy contingencies, and disruption recovery capabilities.
- NCAR Supplier Monitoring — Maintain a structured weekly follow-up process with NCAR suppliers in accordance with BMW guidelines and criteria. Each supplier is assessed using a defined risk-rating scale, with actionable findings and mitigation plans identified.
- Production Planning and Scheduling — Process daily customer requirements and schedule production accordingly, always considering proven production line capacity and inventory levels in alignment with the pre-series production plan.
- Operational Readiness Audits — Conduct operational maturity audits before and during ramp-up, including planning systems, EDI capabilities, packaging readiness, capacity to sustain target volumes, contingency plans, and operational redundancy.
- Supplier Sign-Off Management — Generate and obtain formal sign-offs prior to authorizing suppliers for JIT cadence, ensuring alignment with BMW NCAR program milestones RG4, RG5, and RG6.
- Ramp-Up Leadership and Support — Provide operational leadership and oversight throughout the ramp-up phase, directing program stabilization activities, governing the launch curve, and ensuring JIT compliance from the first delivery onward.
- PFEP (Plan For Every Part) — Develop and maintain PFEP documentation for all Tier 2 suppliers.
- Quality and Safety Compliance — Participate in Quality and Safety Management Systems in accordance with the scope and responsibilities of the position.
- Pre-Series Delivery Monitoring — Monitor and coordinate the timely delivery of complete seats and subassemblies for pre-series builds to the customer.
- Issue Resolution and Escalation Management — Lead supply disruption management, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and containment activities during the program stabilization phase.
- Material Planning Parameters — Define, validate, and implement material planning parameters, including safety stock levels, lot sizes, EOQ (Economic Order Quantity), and supplier delivery frequencies for the NCAR program, in collaboration with the SLP planning team and through system implementation.

Skills
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree completed.
Experience Requirements

3–5 years of experience in a similar position within the automotive industry.

Fully bilingual (English–Spanish).

Experience working with BMW as an automotive customer.

Experience in supplier management and supplier audits.

SAP proficiency.

Basic knowledge of Supply Chain Management principles.
