About Us
Thagora by Lear is a leather cutting technology for the furniture and automotive industry. It combines advanced software, algorithms, and equipment to bring automation, increased leather savings and productivity. Over 18 years of activity and continuous investments in R&D enabled us to build a significant collection of proprietary software algorithms and hardware equipment.
We are seeking a Software QA Engineer to safeguard the quality of our software products through well-structured test planning, test execution and requirements validation. In this role you will also act as Product Owner, analyzing new requests, detailing tasks and following their implementation through to delivery, making sure the result stays aligned with the initial requirements. You will work closely with the Technical Lead, software engineers and company management, with the autonomy to influence how quality and requirements are defined across our products.
Responsibilities
- Creating and executing test plans for software products and modules;
- Validating implemented requests before release, including functional, regression and customer-specific testing;
- Recording and tracking defects in Jira through to resolution;
- Contributing to test automation and to the continuous improvement of the testing process;
- Analyzing new requests, including similar requests, together with the Technical Lead and/or software engineers (Product Owner role);
- Elaborating tasks by defining functionality and implementation details;
- Overseeing task implementation and ensuring alignment with the initial requests;
- Contributing to effort estimations, implementation planning and requirements prioritization with management and other departments;
- Maintaining testing and product documentation;
- Providing Level 3 support for software incidents tracked in the Service Desk platform and supporting the Sales department on special requirements;
- Being a team player with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years' experience in software testing / quality assurance; experience as a Product Owner or in requirements analysis represents an advantage;
- Solid knowledge of test design, test execution and defect management (Jira);
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and with test automation concepts;
- A bachelor's degree in information systems, or similar;
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies;
- Good command of English;
- Availability for a full-time job;
- Pragmatism, resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude.
