Position: Buyer
Location: Southfield, MI
Division: E-Systems
Position Focus: Deliver competitive and optimized costed BOM's for Lear's new business pursuits - Electronics. Fully support new Program Launches and be the primary Purchasing interface with Cross-Functional Teams.
Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in general business required, Purchasing or Supply Chain Management preferred
• Understanding of big picture but must be detail oriented with the ability to learn concepts quickly to develop understanding.
• Must be able to problem solve and manage programs independently, knowing when to engage management and cross functional organizations.
• Requires minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience. Automotive cross-functional experience is a plus. Proven experience with project management and demonstrated results, including managing multiple deadlines and customers (internal).
Job Duties:
- Liaison between PUR and other functions within E-Systems organization (Program Management, Sales, Engineering, and Finance).
- Work with suppliers to quote new components on pursuit business and process ECNs on awarded program to source awarded business.
- Ability to develop and present program information to cross functional teams and executive management, acting as the face of purchasing
- Provide visibility to commodity on new business awards to ensure preferred suppliers are sourced and commodity strategy is being followed.
- Strong written communication and presentation skills, ability to work well with other teams with different goals and understand needs of the E-Systems team.
- Ability to multi-task, and close out open deliverables in a timely fashion. Ability to work independently
- Strong analytics skills, high attention to details is required.
- Must be an advanced or expert user in Excel (pivot tables, writing formulas, analyzing data output)
- Technical understanding of automotive electronics and qualifications.
