Title:  Design Validation Engineer



Perform Design Validation activities and test reporting between Lear, customer and third party suppliers.  Complete development of DVP&R for various projects along with root cause analysis and design change recommendations. Support program teams for product development cycle including adherence to specification, quality, cost, weight and on time delivery.

 

Responsibilities:


-     Design Validation Planning, Testing and Evaluations.

-     Develop and Maintain DVP&R.

-     Ensure Product Performance Meets Customer Requirements
-     Root Cause Analysis and Design Change Proposals
-     Coordinate Process Validation Requirements with Lear Manufacturing Operations.
-     Vehicle Level Trouble Shooting and Issue Resolution.
-     Support Cost, Weight and Warranty Reduction Activities
-     Support Harness/Vehicle Assembly Plants

-     Work Cross Functionally with Customer, Suppliers, Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing, etc.

-     Support Wire Harness Complexity Generation
-     Support Design Reviews

 


Qualifications

Required:

-     BS in Engineering or Equivalent Experience
-     High Level of Oral and Written Communication Skills
-     Ability to Work as Part of Cross Functional Team

-     Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

 

Preferred:

-     3 - 12 Months Wiring Experience

  • DFMEA Experience
  • Validation Experience
  • 3D Design Experience
  • Tolerance Control Experience
  • Ability and Willingness to Travel
  • Validation Experience
