Director of Electronics Product Strategy
JOB LOCATION (SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN – WORLD HEADQUARTERS)

 

As the leader of the Product Strategy Team, the Director of Electronics Product Strategy will be responsible for: leading the product management and strategy for High Voltage Power Distribution Boxes, Low Voltage Power Distribution Boxes, and General Computer (Zone Controllers). This will include leading and supporting the development and execution of product strategy projects within Lear’s E-Systems business unit.

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Drive the development and execution of product-focused strategic initiatives to enhance business growth and optimize profitability
  • Conduct analysis of market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to identify product opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineering, finance, and purchasing functions to evaluate product strategies, development priorities, and technical requirements
  • Present results and advise senior management on product-related decisions, leveraging presentation material and data-driven recommendations
  • Create strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization to understand their functional positions in order to align initiatives and obtain buy-in
  • Communicate technical information effectively and creatively through presentations, visualizations, and reports for a range of audiences

  • Internal alignment of strategic priorities 20%
  • Ad-Hoc Project Support 10%

 

Your Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in business, engineering, economics, or related fields
  • 10+ years of professional experience – proven experience in strategic consulting, preferable management consulting or similar internal strategy role
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power Point – able to data model and create narratives and slides organically
  • Excellent communication skills – ability to present insights across all levels of management and executives
  • High business acumen – ability to synthesize data and turn it into clear business implications and actions
  • Demonstrated leadership experience – level-headed demeanor with the ability to rally a team and lead towards a new way to thinking and operating
  • Familiarity with automotive business practices, development cycles, and related concepts
  • Comfortable and experienced working cross functionally and with senior leaders
  • Self-motivated with proven time management skills

 

Bonus If You Have:

  • MBA
  • Engineering background in electronics a plus
