SENIOR RF ENGINEER
JOB LOCATION (SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN – WORLD HEADQUARTERS)

 

As a member of the E-Systems team, the Senior RF Engineer will be responsible for 

 

  • Working with a great team developing next generation wireless automotive electronics
  • Support customer quotes, Technical design reviews and customer support/partnership from program kickoff to service.
  • Lead integration of Car Access wireless development in Body Control electronic systems
  • Drive execution of Lear's design process compliance, support industry electronic standards and Functional Safety (ISO 26262)
  • Develop cost optimized, high performance, low power, and reusable architectures
     

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Coordinate with cross functional teams to evaluate, design, implement and integrate customer requirements.
  • Develop and Release Robust on Time Designs
  • Investigate and follow up on customer development/field complaints
  • Manage daily activities of the Lear RF development process and deliverables
  • Communicate with internal team and customer project design status and plan


The Hour by Hour Task Breakdown with percentages:

  • Product Design, Development and Analysis (70%)
  • Customer and Peer meetings to resolve open issues (20%)
  • Support quoting of new business (10%)

Your Qualifications:

  • BSEE, with 6+ years of wireless design experience
  • Experience with UHF receiver/transmitter design for car access applications
  • Knowledge of various RF development tools such as Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, etc
  • Experience with PCB layout for wireless applications. Understands PCB layer stack-up and the importance of proper design techniques to improve EMI and RF tuning performance 
  • Working knowledge of EMC testing and Homologation certification procedures
  • Experience with Passive entry systems. Knowledge of design and in vehicle testing
  • LF Design experience for Passive Entry applications. Experience with circuit and antenna design
