Senior Trim Engineer

Position Focus:

  • Design, engineer, and release foam seating pads and trim cover assemblies for automotive customers.
  • Cooperate with internal and external customers and facilitate foam and trim integration into seating system.
  • Proactively facilitate engineering and design principles; DFMEA, design guidelines; and root cause analysis to meet manufacturing and customer requirements.
  • Cross functional communication and collaboration.



  • Ability to analyze data, communicate effectively to cross functional teams and lead solution implementations.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt while leading with integrity.
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
  • Travel may be required; valid passport (eligibility).


Preferred Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience in automotive product development and release for production cycle – foam and/or trim preferred.
  • Knowledge of pattern development, cut and sew, and trim materials.
  • Knowledge of polyurethane foam materials, design guidelines, interaction with seat complete and testing standards.
  • Working knowledge of design CAD systems and Teamcenter.
  • Technical background in Polyurethane formulation; surface materials; or trim cover manufacturing.
