As a member of the trim engineering team, the trim engineer will be responsible for design, root cause and release trim covers.


The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  •  Design, engineer, and release trim cover assemblies for automotive customers.
  • Cooperate with internal and external customers and facilitate foam and trim integration into seating system.
  • Proactively facilitate engineering and design principles; DFMEA, design guidelines; and root cause analysis to meet manufacturing and customer requirements.
  • Cross functional communication and collaboration.


Your Qualifications:

  •  Ability to analyze data, communicate effectively to cross functional teams and lead solution implementations.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt while leading with integrity.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
  • Travel may be required; valid passport (eligibility).


Bonus If You Have:

  •  Experience in automotive product development and release for production cycle – foam and/or trim preferred.
  • Knowledge of pattern development, cut and sew, and trim materials.
  • Knowledge of design guidelines, interaction with seat complete and testing standards.
  • Working knowledge of design CAD systems and Teamcenter.
  • Technical background surface materials; or trim cover manufacturing.
