Position overview:

 

Our future assembly industrial engineer should be a skilled and detail-oriented assembly process Industrial Engineer to join our team. you will be responsible for developing, optimizing and overseeing assembly processes to ensure quality production, efficiency, and safety. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and to drive continuous improvement and innovation in our assembly process.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Oversee all technical activities of the project related to assembly line design, validation, and industrialization.
  • Ensure coordination between various internal and external stakeholders (engineering, production, suppliers, etc.).
  • Approve and resolve issues related to assembly process design and feasibility (DFM/DFA).
  • Responsible for the production and follow-up of pre-serial assemblies.
  • Act as the main technical contact for program managers regarding assembly process topics.
  • Prepare RFQs (technical calculations and specifications) for new assembly projects.
  • Prepare and present project industrialization progress reports.
  • Ensure proper planning and execution of OTOP and R@R activities.
  • Ensure availability of all required data and documentation for internal and external stakeholders (BOM, work instructions, capacity studies, PFMEA, etc.).
  • Support the procurement and commissioning of new assembly equipment and tools.
  • Ensure proper implementation of change management procedures.
  • Monitor and control CAPEX spending for projects under your responsibility.
  • Support successful execution of internal and external audits (quality, process, customer, etc.).
  • Optimize Siemens PLC programs and ensure efficient integration with assembly line operations.
  • Develop, test, and fine-tune robotic programs (e.g., 6 axis robots, SCARA robots).
  • Collaborate with automation engineers to implement Industry 4.0 solutions and improve traceability and process control

 

 

 

Key skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Engineering degree in electrical, Electromechanical or Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical project management or process engineering, preferably in the automotive sector.
  • Experience in assembly line design, layout planning, and process validation.
  • Good knowledge in quality tools and methodologies (FMEA, 8D, APQP, PPAP).
  • Hands-on experience with Siemens PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Good knowledge in industrial robot programming (e.g., 6 axis robots, SCARA robots…)
  • Strong understanding of automated screwing and welding processes in assembly environments.
  • Familiarity with HMI interfaces, sensors, and actuators used in automated assembly lines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proficiency in both English & French languages, spoken and written
