Position overview:
The PFMEA responsible plays a critical role in ensuring the robustness and reliability of manufacturing and operational processes. This is achieved by leading PFMEA activities, developing and maintaining PFMEA documents, performing risk assessments, driving corrective actions, ensuring compliance with best practices, and providing training and support to cross-functional teams. The position requires strong analytical and organizational skills, effective team communication, leading a team of PFMEA facilitator and a detail-oriented mindset focused on continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordination and planning of R-PFMEAs
- Creating and implementing PFMEAs according to the last requirement of AIAG-VDA handbook and additional customer requirement
- Supports and complies with Quality requirements such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements
- Develop and maintain documents and procedures related to Engineering and quality standards
- Perform activities in coordination with other departments for different audits (Customer audits, IATF 16949 audit ...)
- Ensure proper conformity of engineering changes to quality standards.
- Auditor perspective including being part of the solution.
- Identify and evaluate internal and external risks to all manufacturing processes and infrastructure equipment essential to maintain production output and to ensure that customer requirements are met.
- Ensure training needs and achieving competence of all engineering teams about PFMEA and new engineering system procedures.
- Present PFMEA and engineering activities during IATF 16949 audit
Key skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 Years of experience within Lear Corporation
- Master’s degree in engineering or related field is required
- Strong leadership and teamwork spirit -Proficiency in English and French is mandatory
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, production)
- Proficiency in PFMEA software tools (e.g., APIS IQ, Excel templates).
- Familiarity with structured problem
- solving tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D).
- Familiar with IATF 16949 / customer audits
- PFMEA certificate is a plus
