We are currently looking for Category Buyer who will join our central non-production purchasing team and will support with the purchasing experience, as well as, language skills.

Your tasks will be: 

  • Defining new strategies for mapping and tracking his specific non-production category
  • Negotiating Lear Supplier Agreements with suppliers to improve cost and prices
  • Supporting plants with implementation of new prices / suppliers
  • Managing the quotation process together with the responsible people from plant
  • Making sure suppliers receive RFQs in line with Lear requirements
  • Presents supplier comparison and summary to Management for final sourcing decision
  • Ongoing recommendation for improvement of procedures and processes
     

We expect from you: 

  • Fluent communication in English and at least one of the languages: Italian/Spanish/French/Hungarian/Swedish
  • Some previous experience in the purchasing field
  • Category management experience would be a huge plus
  • Strong negotiation abilities, good level of economic awareness
  • Highly developed planning and organizational skills
  • Outstanding communication skills coupled with strong customer focus and ability to work with all levels of the organization
