Commodity & Clean Sheet Manager Die Casting

Position Overview

Clean Sheet and commodity purchasing for all Die Casting products in Europe with support to other regions, for E-Systems and Connection Systems

 

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to)

- Support development and implementation of the die casting strategy and own daily actions

- Develop and implement Clean Sheet model for die casting products to support negotiation and cost reduction strategy

- Single contact for suppliers and cross functional teams for die casting activities in Europe

- Develop new commodity suppliers according to the strategy and follow up their implementation within Lear

- Achieve savings commodity target through negotiation and SCTO implementation

- Support entire Product life cycle from Customer new programs award stages through mass production and until End of Life

- Lead Clean Sheet development and associated negotiation with suppliers

- Support commodity initiatives including sourcing, resourcing, bidding, annual negotiations and special initiatives

- Support development for regional commodity and supplier strategies

- Align objectives, strategy, actions with plants, program teams and the Global Commodity Manager

- Organize and coordinate supplier workshops with Engineering to work on cost reduction ideas

- Ensure sourcing/ process compliance (DOA) through SRM, E-pad and Coupa systems

- System maintenance with pricelist updates, supplier contracts, parts homologations and other daily administrative tasks

 

To be a success in this role you must have:

- Engineering or Business Administration degree

- preferred with working experience (if possible automotive) not mandatory

- Excellent language skills: English  

- Good communication skills in a global organization, self-driven, highly trustable person, team player
