Job Description

Commodity Purchasing buyer in Europe with support to the other regions for E-Systems reporting to Commodity Manager located in Lear Valls.

Responsibilities

 

•    Support development and implementation of the Commodity strategy and own daily actions
•    Single contact for suppliers and cross functional teams for all Commodity activities in Europe 
•    Develop new commodity suppliers according to the strategy and follow up their implementation within Lear 
•    Achieve savings commodity target through negotiation and MCE implementation
•    MCE ideas follow-up with cross functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Quality, etc.). Prepare supplier workshop agenda (contacts, timing, invitations, etc.)
•    Support entire Product life cycle from Customer new programs award stages through mass production and until End of Life
•    Leverages new business awards by understanding and being aware of new programs content.
•    Purchasing system maintenance: timely implementation of new pricing, Minimum Order Quantity, incoterms, as well as Cost Study fulfillment and PO issuance

Experience Requirements

  • Engineering or Business Administration degree
  • Automotive working experience +5 years
  • Excellent language skills: English and Spanish

  • Good organizational skills
