 At Valls HQ for Electronics Europe and Africa we develop Automotive Electronic Control Units for applications including electrical control, comfort, security safety, and in-vehicle networking and electrification products. We need high-skilled engineers to give their best every day, and able to work in a very challenging environment.

 

Position Overview

The Basic Software Architect will participate in the assigned embedded software development projects for Lear in the automotive field. Reports to Core Software Platform supervisor.


Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to)

  • Specification review documentation as defined per LEAR Software and System Process
  • Define together with the Product line software architect the Software Architecture of a specific software development project
  • Collaborate in the allocation of software requirements to software architectural elements within the BSW
  • Define the interfaces of software architectural components
  • Low level design on the software modules assigned (Sys stack, Mem stack...)
  • Codification of the assigned software modules according LEAR guidelines
  • Integration testing of the assigned software modules.
  • Describe together with the Product line software architect the overall dynamic behavior

 

 To be a success in this role you must have:

  • Engineering degree (electronics, Computer Science, Telecomuncations...)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in embedded Software Development, preferable in the automotive market
  • Experience with real time operating systems and multicore processors.
  • Good knowledge of C. Other programming languages are valued (C++, C++11, Python...)
  • Preferable, knowledge of AUTOSAR, experience developing or integrating and configuring Automotive AUTOSAR compliant stacks.
  • Good communication skills. Good at teamwork. Process oriented.
  • Fluent in English
