LJS Application Developer

To support our ongoing growth and advancement, we are seeking a talented and experienced .NET Full Stack Systems Developer to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview:

Systems Developers participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle and provide high-level support for our proprietary suite of mission-critical, globally deployed, highly configurable, shop floor applications.

Reporting to the Global Development Manager and working within a small team of 4 developers and 1 QA engineer.

Responsibilities

• Developing new applications based on documented specifications, fulfilling feature requests in existing applications, and providing critical bugfixes based on the SLA’s defined by the business.
• Improving testability of code through unit and integration testing processes.
• Documenting technical features and updating compatibility documents/release notes accurately and succinctly.
• Updating internal systems to allow accurate tracking of status on releases, major projects and KPI’s.
• Attending all meetings and updating the team regularly on all current activities and escalating when necessary to ensure targets are achieved.
• Analysing current processes and methodologies and looking for and suggesting improvements that could enhance stability, productivity, usability, efficiency, or security.
• Being aware of your own deliverable goals, and actively pursuing them to achieve the team objectives.
• Be open to new ideas and learning opportunities.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a similar field.
• Required demonstrable experience:
  • Working as a full-stack .NET developer in an object-oriented environment.
  • Using Microsoft Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
  • Frontend development in AngularJS/Angular (≥12): HTML5, JavaScript/Typescript, CSS
  • Backend development in .net Windows services: Net Framework 4.x, .Net5/6
  • Transact-SQL (T-SQL), SQLite.
  • Agile methodologies (scrum), version control systems (Git)
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Bit Bucket,
• The following skills would be taken into consideration:
  • Experience with message brokers/queuing: RabbitMQ, MSMQ
  • WPF
  • Automated testing
  • Knowledge of Jira, Bitbucket,
  • General knowledge in: SOLID principles, design patterns and TDD
