We are looking for Manufacturing Engineering Manager

 

Role Overview:

 

Work with our Wiring facilities to manage all aspects of Manufacturing Engineering to introduce and integrate global Industry 4.0 technologies.  Drive and communize wire processes, standards, procedures, and equipment globally.  Lead automation wiring assembly process and digitally connecting our operations to improve OEE, quality, cost, and growth of the business.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Generate, introduce, and lead I4.0 ideas/technologies for Wiring operations regional deployment
  • Participate and contribute communization while help to develop global standards, processes, procedures
  • Participate and contribute global collaboration towards equipment and supplier selection
  • Lead and oversee equipment and capex purchases in the plants for the region and support globally
  • Improve overall OEE through increasing equipment availability and reducing downtime with CI involvement.
  • Review Capital Expenditures including specific projects with management.
  • Contribute and collaborate DFA guidelines with wire product engineering
  • Generate and present process flows and line layouts for new business opportunities
  • Prepare capital spending summaries for business unit as required for the region
  • Create mfg. studies for select locations for new business opportunities in the region
  • Attend design reviews with cross functional engineering group to provide enhanced functional support.

 

 

Key Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 10 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering and automation installation
  • Preferred experience in global organizations, including demonstrated global team management.
  • Having Tier 1 Automotive experience is an advantage
  • Proficient in creating process flow charts and designing line layouts for electronic modules
  • Experience in leading capital equipment projects.
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment and associated launches for high production automation
  • Excellent problem solving, operations analysis and attention to detail.
  • Skilled in integrating complex systems.
  • Experienced in assembly & process automation lines
  • Experience working with Automation supplier such as Statement of Work and developing specifications, is an advantage
  • Familiarity of 6 Sigma and Lean Manufacturing. Ideally Black Belt trained with formal Lean qualification.
