Program Commodity Buyer will support the purchasing function and ensure timely delivery of supplier quotes for new RFQs and commodity purchase support.
Responsibilities:
- Review the bill of materials and speak to the engineering department in case any change to the bill of materials (change of supplier, etc.) needs to be evaluated.
- Evaluates vendor quotes and services and determines most desirable suppliers based on list of preferred suppliers from commodity purchasing teams.
- Join meetings with the rest of the Cross Functional team: PM, EPL, Sales, Plant, etc.
- Familiarization with standard concepts, practices and procedures in a specific area.
- Benchmark and negotiation of new materials for new projects
- Market analysis and raw material development overview
- Maintenance of PUR systems
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or relevant
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar position
- Fluency in English
- German is an advantage
