Position OVERVIEW:

The Business Process Owner leads the activities of implementing SAP and related application solutions and functionality which effectively support all LEAR Divisions in Europe.    


The SAP FI/CO BPO is responsible for design and management of the EU SAP templates/ customization for all aspects of the financial management and control solutions, in order to standardize processes, maximise efficiency in processes and to minimize future changes and developments.  This is in order to provide financial accuracy and reporting in line with internal and statutory requirements. It includes (but not limited to) creation of the AS IS documentation following reviews with site and central teams, drafting of the related BBP documents (technical details finalized by the BA team) and presentation to the plant teams and KUs. The BPO is also responsible for management of the associated gap list and initial creation of the associated RFCs and FTDS documents (the technical sections to be completed by the BA) and approval and testing of the delivered solutions.


Additionally, this role incorporates control over data migration related to master data for the FI and CO tables leading to plant approval of production data. This is to include the deriving of, and participation in, the data cutover processes prior to go live.


Also, the function of the BPO is to train KUs in all locations in use of the configuration and processes available to them for FI and CO transactions and SAP system controls – also to complete the knowledge transfer to the SAP Support team.


The role entails knowledge and experience in the full SAP project life cycle methodology, including blueprinting and GAP analysis, configuration, documentation, testing, training, deployment, and stabilization & hyper-care support. This role is a senior cross-functional position that supports a full range of end to end business processes.


Required Skills:

  • Experience with FI/CO processes in a project environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial controls and reporting requirements/ SAP functionality
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP FI/CO solutions.
  • Basic knowledge of linked SAP functionality (for SD/WM configuration and data elements etc)
  • Ability to support and identify process improvements for the areas of financial control.
  • Ability to develop functional specifications across functions.
  • Knowledge of the integration points with other Key modules SD/ WM / PP/ MM
  • Knowledge of SAP workbench, LSMW and IDOC-processing.
  • Experience in data migration and control.
  • Ability to support BA team to complete interfaces to supporting applications and test import/ export data for confirmation of SAP treatment/ impacts

  • Support the SAP template solution being developed and implemented in Europe and direct developments to the BA team for delivery for testing in line with the EU template and customer requirements.
  • Drive and control the planning and implementation of new and modified solutions to support the FI/CO and JIT functional end to end processes.
  • Work with the BA team for them to provide Level 2 and 3 support for FI/CO related business processes and applicable IT solutions for D&D and project implementations.
  • Document the relevant business processes for each stage of the change management process.
  • Protect and ensure the integrity of the LEAR business processes within the SAP template solution.
  • Manage own work within the project team and ensure consistency and communication
  • Participate in the analysis and design of the SAP rollout solutions as it relates to FI and CO functional areas.
