Job Description
Defines the vision and executes the strategy centrally for all LEAR locations in EMEA region for both Electrical Systems and Seating Systems Divisions. Manages the contracts, e-catalogs and Punch-Out’s within a group of commodities within indirect procurement. Ensures cost effective procurement and delivery of material and service to support plant and customer requirements. Supports administration of orders/contracts and purchasing function. Assumes the role of a central Strategic Category Buyer.
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop and provide long term sourcing strategies and synergies, lead key projects with cross-functional teams.
- Maintenance, negotiations and improvement of Contracts
- Lead commercial relationships with suppliers, aiming towards achiving the most optimal solution for the company.
- Indirect material and MRO, cost reduction, supplier quality and certification
- Work on policies and procedures within the special area and administer them together with the other departments across the organization.
- Manage the Request For Quotations sourcing rationales in consistency with the category strategy.
Skills
Experience Requirements
BS/BA, Master or equivalent experience.
+5 years of experience in purchasing as Category Buyer
Fluent in English and Spanish
