Position overview:

 

Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, our future Quality Resident Engineer will have the primary responsibility of ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained in the assembly processes at the customer company. You will play a crucial role in identifying, analyzing, and resolving quality issues, while fostering a collaborative and trust-based relationship with the customer.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Start a preliminary analysis of any quality issue detected at the customer company.
  • Knowing of all customer assembly processes to detect potential quality issues.
  • Invite Lear team to analyze any quality issues.
  • Follow Lear's status and due date regarding 3D and 8D reports.
  • Share the VOC “voice of the customer" to Lear team.
  • Validate the effectiveness of the actions from the point of view of assembly at customer.
  • Report the rework performed at customer in the good due date.
  • Share a complaint report once a quality issue is detected by Lear or by the customer.
  • Coordinate the implementation and report the results of any customer security activity "containment plan".
  • Create and follow the open issues list with all plants where there are unresolved issues.
  • Support the customer on quality issues, independently of the source of the problem.
  • Create an environment of trust at the customer to avoid an official complaint when a quality issue is detected.
  • Negotiate with the customer the reduction of the number of rejected parts or the cancellation of the complaint.
  • If sorting is needed, contact a sorting company, and manage the sorting process.
  • Manage and monitor the Rework flow at the customer.
  • Has authority to stop non-compliant material.

  • Technical degree.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies
  • Ability to collaborate and build trust with customers
  • Proficiency in both English & French languages, spoken and written
