The VAT Specialist EMEA role is based in the Lear Financial Shared Service Centre located in Brno, Czech Republic. The Centre is supporting various European Lear plants with their internal Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks and supports also VAT reporting obligations. Your main responsibilities will be:
- Performing monthly/quarterly VAT compliance tasks for Lear group VAT registrations in different countries in the EMEA region (this includes preparation and filing VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, Control statements and Intrastat reporting)
- Performing invoices and other relevant documentation reviews to check the correct VAT treatment and related requirements
- Obeying VAT compliance and deadlines
- Support for new VAT registrations process
- Reporting into Lear EMEA Corporate tax team
- Coordination with plants and tax authorities
- Ad-hoc tasks and related administration
Requirements:
- Degree in business administration / accounting/ finance preferred
- Tax / finance background with willingness to specialize in VAT compliance preferred
- Accurate and affine with numbers
- Paying attention to details but also maintains the full picture of accounting processes and VAT sensitive controls
- Advanced knowledge of English (corporate language and process related documentation in English)
- User level PC skills (Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel)
